About the author

I am a multi skilled entertainer specialising in providing entertainment for family audiences and younger children
at events throughout the UK. My repertoire includes magic, clowning, Punch and Judy, balloon modelling, circus skills, stilt walking and
puppetry. I am a qualified balloon decorator and can build large scale sculptures in balloons. I do mass balloon releases and can set up special
effects such as exploding balloon walls. I also entertain adults at corporate events and private parties with balloons, comedy magic and my adult
Punch and Judy Show ( be warned, it's very rude! ). I run race nights ( video horse racing ) for fund raising and corporate events.
I am a professional Toastmaster for weddings and I also do a little bit of web site design. I came into this business in 1992 and built up a
succesful company called Spectacular Events Ltd which had many inflable games, rides, side shows, casino tables etc. We were also an
entertainment agency and event organisers. I sold this company about five years ago and now concentrate on my work as an entertainer. I have attended
many training courses over the years in order to develop my skills. I went to the USA to learn about clowning, I was trained in Punch and Judy by a
world renowned expert, I have trained at Circus Space in London, Greentop in Sheffield, Qualetex in Bishop Stortford to name but a few. I work with
my wife Hazel who is a professional face painter, dance teacher and chidren's entertainer. My three daughters Natasha, Katrina and Daniella
also work with me when they are available. They are all accomplished face painters and they do stilt walking and circus skills. I am pleased to say that
I have many satisfied customers and I am most grateful to them all for giving me the oportunity to perform at their many and varied events. My business
is called Jolly Good Productions and offes a rich array of shows, workshops, activities and entertainment ideas for my clients to choose from.
My aim is to provide a service which is professional, friendly, reliable and fun resulting in many more happy customers.

Deer Shed Festival 2011

This fantastic Music and Arts Festival takes place at Baldersby Park near Topcliffe, Thirsk, North Yorkshire from 22nd to 24th July 2011.

This years event is going to be bigger and more exciting than ever. There is a full entertainment programme ryunning through the weekend and loads of free stiff for the kids too.

The festival schedule for 2011

The Deer Shed Festival is not a long haul, it is super-concentrated, like Fairy Liquid.

The festival site will open at 3pm on Friday 22nd July, the arena will open at 5pm for food and drink, entertainment will start at 7pm. Friday entertainment is centred around a cabaret performance in our Big Top but we will have one music stage running too. The Friday ticket is optional (though most folks are making a full weekend of it.)

Saturday is our main music and arts day, three music stages, loads going on, the meat in the sandwich.

Sunday is a Long Goodbye. Coffee, newspapers, organised kid’s sports, live ambient electronica cafe in the Big Top, crafts market, nature trails, with more to be confirmed. The festival site will close on Sunday at 4pm.

Camping in a tent is free and all kids activities are free unless stated otherwise on this site.
